Rwby is dead, lets be honest. Rooster teeth died when then they handed their entire brand to some race baiting black podcaster. They decided political extremism was better than continuing to be great with neutral entertaining content. Good riddance, I suppose

Rwby can’t end until (my thoughts and opinions) we find out more about ruby’s mom, more characters get more closure and backstories, Salem gets stopped and cinder, all of team rwby explores there powers more and gets a hang of it better, the maidens powers, and the reincarnation plot ends. That’s just my hope that it accomplishes before it ends

I'm glad RT died. It was honestly an arrogant, unfunny company that refused to feed their cash cow, RWBY, and tried to boost a bunch of content that no one wanted. Red vs blue died when Halo did, and the podcasters were cringe city-centric weirdos. That said, RWBY deserves a better home, and I think it's a 50/50 shot it will get it.

There is always hope in RWBY community, but.... is it ever rewarded?

As far as time-based semblances go, I had one idea I've been toying around with for a semblance I call "Rewind". The user touches an object and for a little while they are able to "rewind" the objects flow of time, making it travel the exact path it took in reverse. then release the semblance so it moves like it did the first time as if nothing happened. I would have them use a lot of thrown projectile weapons, specifically shuriken / sawblade style weapons to set up fields of moving "lines" that opponents have to stay out of for battlefield manipulation. The more complex the structure of the target (Like say an organic living being or Penny-level robotics) and the more change it underwent (moved from one spot to another Vs Completely shattered and turned to dust), the more aura they need to rewind it. So they wouldn't be able to manipulate other people's time flow at all (Just their equipment, and even then, manipulating anything that is infused with another person's aura is a lot more draining. I would say they CAN "rewind" themself, (to dodge or even undo wounds) but it takes a huge aura drain just to get a few seconds of time back (Otherwise they could theoretically give themselves immortality by rewinding often enough to prevent aging) An evolved form would probably gain a "fast forward" or "pause" function to freeze a target or speed it up. Being limited to non-organic objects that the user has touched, rather than an area or people feels like it keeps it balanced enough (IMO) since it functions similarly to a weaker version of Pyrhha's Polarity or Glynda's Telekinesis but with extra features in certain circumstances.

K, RT as a company was a complete clusterf*k. RvB was a meh derivative content "borrowed" from Halo (now with little interest, as it's very OLD). RT churned out some successful 'lets play' content, then just anything. As much as they thought may stick, most were canceled as most was garbage. RWBY an original concept, by the intensely creative Monty Oum, put RT on the map. RWBY by season 3 rejuvenated RT & drove the majority of RT's income. They would've failed early, had they not had a series of acquisitions. Largely due to the hire/fire of Digital Artists, poor management, & the sexual scandals RT solely brought upon themselves. Not to mention pulling RWBY off uTube & driving the fanbase to their self proclaimed "First" platform, a bad move. Monty (RIP) wouldn't live to see RT destroy themselves & their employees. Unfortunately Monty's widow would, a talented Artist in her own right. Monty likely saved RT with his talent, which RT would later squander. Screw RT, I only am distraught over the way the Artists were treated & fired. I agree that the RWBY IP/IA is the only thing salvageable & valuable. If either Crunchyroll or WB-D gets their ducks in order, there is muli-millions to be made, if done properly, 10's of millions. Myself, as a M&A (mergers & acquisitions) IP & IA (intangible assets) Senior Executive Appraiser, this is obvious. Sell the RWBY property, keeping the writers, VAs & Digital media format & the key Digital Artists. These companies can make Bank on RWBY specifically WITHOUT destroying it. This will take 2 to 3 years, but has incredible potential & an existing loyal cutomer/fanbase. It's ludicrous to pass on RWBY as an acquisition, it is the ONLY asset that can reset its own franchise, without restarting from scratch. I'd pass on the all other "properties" which should just be sold off cheap, they have little potential in comparison & a high cost to revive with a miniscule vested fanbase.

I'm hoping for a reboot. Remake Volumes 1-3 with actually good animation, and that should draw enough interest to go the rest of the way. It's really hard to get new people interested when to start they have to go back to the really blocky first couple seasons. It seems more likely than a volume 10 after the dreadful mess that was Volume 9. However, I have no actual knowledge of anything, so the whole thing could be dead.

Im a little late but i feel like different semblances might need different things to evolve. Some could master their semblance on usage/training alone, others might need meditation or stressful situations or a combination of the 3. Some of them might be incapable of evolving. How they evolve might be as simple as following a predetermined path. They might develop based on what you need in the moment. One semblance might follow a path while a similar semblance developes based on need. It could also be semi-random.

Let me break down what is the simplest and most satisfactory answer: the source. Magic and semblances have shown zero differences between each other in the show. semblences are just magic that the user utilizes through their soul/aura, while magic comes from the world around the user (kind of like the force in star wars). Without going into supplementary material like WoR or the directors cuts, the most blatant evidence of this comes from Ozma’s and Salems children, ozma’s many hosts, and the maidens. It is most likely that humanity losing access to magic is a mental condition, everyone in remnant can use magic but that part of them is locked off in their brain, forcing them to utilize their finite aura to power said magic. Salem’s kids, oscars hosts, the maidens all bypass this either through genetics (salem is still technically human and thus she has the genes that unlock magic in a person), ozma taking over a host (his brain/conscious that can use magic unlocks the part in the original host), or magic forcibly unlocking in them ala maidens (a new host essentially has the ability to use elemental magic forcibly unlocked when maidens transfer their powers). As for why people can only use one semblance, its most likely that semblances are like individual spells any magic user could cast, but due to how much weaker and individualized the soul of al each person is, a single spell that best suits the users soul is chosen, locking that person off from using any other spells.

I want Cinder redeemed and with a family. That won't happen though. I think RWBY will end with a re-humanized Salem (thanks to either the tree or Ruby's silver eyes) trying but failing to fix Cinder's grimmification (after she turns Cinder into a grimm in a fit of rage over the lamp), and the heroes having to put Cinder down. Salem's curse will be broken but she'll live a few more decades as a human.

I have a crack theory about Salem's true plan- there's another piece to the plan that involves her daughters, but that part of her plan is now ruined because Cinder used the last question. I think Salem was going to use Jinn to find out if her daughters were reborn as other people on Remnant and find them. If the answer was yes, she was going to use the relics to create a new world for her daughters. If the answer was no, she would use the relics to summon the gods to destroy everything including herself. Now that she can't ask Jinn about her daughters, she has decided to go the destroy everything route and there will be no new world. When Salem finds out that it was Cinder who took that question from her and not Ruby, (assuming she doesn't already magically know it), Cinder is dead. She'll probably torture her and turn her into a grimm that has to be put down by the heroes. I think the maiden powers will stay with their current hosts but stop circulating after they die after the gods are summoned. So in other words, Winter, Raven, the summer maiden, and whoever is the fall maiden after Cinder dies will live out the remainder of their lives with the maiden powers and then the powers will leave the world with them.

I love this! This character is just a good as the last one, maybe even better. I love the design, the backstory, her personality, her semblance all of it is perfect and the entirety of the character matches the design perfectly. Wonderfully crafted.

Ik this was a few years ago but honestly I really love this. This character sounds amazing. I like her semblance as well, it’s seems kinda reminiscent of the character King from One Piece tho, as King is the last of the Lunarians. A winged humanoid species whose abilities are signified by a flame that appears on their backs which hardens their skin the larger the flame gets. Aside from that reference I think this character is truly a unique and wonderful design. I also really loved the backstory it was great!

At this i don't want volume 10 unpopular opinion i don't care because how i feel about RWBY right now is it's to far gone at this point and they might as well make a reboot and give rwby a new writer that actually cares about consistency in the story and characters and Im sorry if I offended anyone with my opinion but that's just how I feel now about the series
